About

Jack Rose and Annie Rose with their three children outdoors in the fall.
The ongoing experiment.

Founder, Father, and Nuclear REACTor at REACT Premium Escape Rooms — ten years pioneering active entertainment in New England.

I spend a lot of time thinking about how people communicate, collaborate, and fall apart under pressure — usually by putting them into immersive situations and watching what happens.

This site is a place for observation, reflection, and the occasional attempt at humor as I try to make sense of a fleeting existence on a revolving ball of gas and space dust, revolving around a giant ball of fire at 67,000 mph, in an infinite vacuum.

I write about teamwork, immersion, and the moments where things either click — or quietly unravel.

The Long Story Short

Ten years. Over a dozen games designed. Tens of thousands of groups. One guy doing most of it himself — designing, building, operating, fixing, marketing, hosting, and occasionally mopping. Before REACT, it was AdventurEscape, starting in 2015. Before that, I was just a guy who loved escape rooms and thought, “I could do this.” Turns out I could. Also turns out “this” is everything.

I’m not just an operator. I’m a designer, a storyteller, a problem-solver, and — more recently — a writer trying to make sense of what a decade of watching people has taught me about people.

What You’ll Find Here

Escape rooms. Business. Fatherhood. The entertainment industry. AI and what it means for the one-person operation. The absurdity of entrepreneurship. The things I’ve seen people do in a locked room that they’d never do in a boardroom. And whatever else I can’t get out of my head.

Let’s Talk

I’m available for speaking, podcasts, consulting, and any conversation worth having. If you want to talk active entertainment, escape rooms, small business, or the meaning of life on a revolving ball of space dust. I’m in.
